STEWART ALDCROFT

Based in Hong Kong, Stewart is an independent Fund Management Industry Consultant, providing advice, guidance and strategies for global as well as local fund management firms. Stewart specialises in designing market entry strategies for China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and other Asian markets. Over a long and illustrious career, Stewart has worked in business development and client relationship management for traditional, hedge, structured and alternatives fund houses across Asia, including senior positions with Citigroup, Horizon21, Investec Asset Management, Standard Chartered, Franklin Templeton, HSBC and Schroders.

DAVID BULL

David is a former British diplomat, having served with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Brazil, Zambia, Portugal, Jamaica, Nepal, Scotland, USA as well as a secondment to the Private Energy Sector for 5 years. In October 2015, he was posted to Guangzhou in China as Deputy Director for China, Advanced Manufacturing, Innovation, Technology,& Transport. His remit included a national responsibility for automotive, Advanced Manufacturing, Chemicals, and Marine. At the beginning of 2019, David took on a new assignment to lead a proposed UK Greater Bay Area Office. He was responsible for supporting the development of the UK business and bilateral relationships with the Greater Bay Area. A consummate networker, David comes to APAC Financial Services with an extensive network that spans the Greater Bay Area and China, the UK, and the US in various sectors.

MIKE GILES

With over three decades of experience in financial services technology, spanning Australia, the UK, and nearly a decade in the US, Mike founded and grown three Australian technology companies that have expanded globally.

Mike serves on the board of Ignition Advice in which is now a leading fintech innovator in the digital advice sector serving large financial institutions across the UK and Europe.

He is passionate about helping Australian tech companies make the global jump to expanding and setting up successful businesses off-shore.

GEOFFREY POST

Geoff provides advice on product and distribution strategy to investment and wealth management firms across Europe and Asia. He works with Asian based managers seeking to develop their capital raising capabilities in Europe and vice versa. He has held senior positions responsible for product strategy, manager selection and fund distribution living in Asia and managing teams based in the region at investment and wealth managers including Merrill Lynch, Coutts and Nikko. He has broad experience across long only and alternative investment strategies, fund types including UCITS and ETFs and has had Board Director responsibility at management companies and funds in a range of regulatory jurisdictions.

MARK RICHARDSON

Mark Richardson is an experienced Board Director with 30 years in management consulting and private equity. Mark established Bain & Company in Australia and spent 10 years as the Partner responsible for advising Boards and CEOs of ASX 200 listed and large private companies in Australia and Asia. In 1999, Mark co-founded Wolseley Private Equity which successfully raised $400 million of Australian and international institutional equity across two funds. He is widely acknowledged to be one of Australia’s leading experts on capital-raising and funds management in Private Equity and Venture Capital.

CHRIS RYAN

Chris is Chairman and Chief Executive of First Harbour Capital Partners, an investment and consulting business. In a long and distinguished career, Chris was Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific for MSCI Inc., CEO and Managing Director of Perpetual Limited, Managing Director and Head of Asia for Fidelity International and CEO of ING Investment Management Asia Pacific Ltd. He also held senior positions with HSBC Asset Management and National Mutual Funds management. Chris is based in Melbourne and holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Monash University.

MICHAEL SHAW

Michael Shaw is MD of BlueMount Capital’s Melbourne Office, Executive Chairman of BlueMount Capital (Beijing) Co., Ltd, and BlueMount Capital’s Food & Agriculture business. His experience spans merchant and investment banking, private equity and venture capital in the food industry, and specialist funds management in life sciences, medical devices, and nanotechnology. He is widely recognised as one of Australasia’s leading middle market investment bankers having previously worked for leading securities and M&A firms in the Asia Pacific region and worked on numerous transactions, including debt and equity capital raisings, IPOs, acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs and divestitures.

ALBERT WONG

Albert Wong is a long term entrepreneur and a corporate strategy specialist, with extensive experience in Corporate Finance, Funds Management and Wealth Management. Based in Hong Kong, Albert is the Managing Partner of Euto Capital Partners Limited, an SFC licensed entity which provides professional advisory services to corporations in the Greater China and Asia Pacific regions. Albert’s strong financial network, knowledge and experience enables him to provide advice on various corporate matters, including advising start-ups, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, capital-raising and pre IPO fund raising.

GARRY WILLINGE

Dr. Garry Willinge is involved in management consulting, corporate advisory, M&A, capital markets and leadership development, with clients and partners across Asia (esp. China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), USA, South America, UK & Australia. He is an entrepreneur, angel investor and has equity interests in companies across a number of sectors around the world. Living and working in and out of Hong Kong for almost 20 years, initially as head of IBM Global Services at IBM China/Hong Kong Limited until 2005, he is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and chairman of the AICD Hong Kong Executive Advisory Committee.

SIMON YICK

Simon Yick is the Managing Director of Sinovest Capital Ltd which is mainly engaged in direct investment and merger and acquisition activities for companies in Hong Kong and Greater China. Based in Hong Kong and as a qualified accountant by profession, Simon is actively involved in investment banking and direct investment activities for over 30 years. Simon is now also acting as the independent non-executive Director for several Hong Kong listed companies as well as mentors for some start-ups and NGOs in Hong Kong.

MICHAEL WOODS

Michael combines his extensive strategic, commercial, financial and project management expertise with his passion for the life science and early stage startup sectors to advise and invest in early stage companies. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Science (Genetics, Accounting and Finance) at Melbourne University, he joined the Macquarie Group, spending 13 years in investment banking, funds management, private equity and project management working in Melbourne, Seoul, Moscow, Almaty, and London. During this time, he advised Australian businesses on capital raising strategies, and took increasingly active asset management and strategic development roles, leading ultimately to the leadership of investment activities for a A$1billion investment fund in Russia, the establishment of a start-up company in Kazakhstan and executive roles in a pre-revenue project in the Philippines.
